Located in the south of Brazil, the Cataratas do Iguaçu (Iguaçu Falls) is a group of waterfalls in an immense semicircle located in the heart of the Iguaçu National Park, an ecological reserve declared part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Divided into many waterfalls, the Cataratas do Iguaçu are surrounded by a humid subtropical forest containing more than 2000 species of vascular plants and houses a fauna of tapirs, giant anteaters, monkeys, jaguars and alligators.

In the middle of one of the greatest natural beauties of earth, besides admiring the spectacle of the waters and walking through the park, it is possible to appreciate the greatness of the falls, flying over the region by helicopter. For the more adventurous, the boat ride is a must. This tour allows the visitor to appreciate the Falls from a special angle - from the river level. And it can be done from the Brazilian side (Macuco Safari) or from the Argentinean side (Aventura Náutica - Gran Aventura).
Parque Nacional de Iguaçu (Iguaçu National Park): one of the most beautiful parks in the world, where the waterfall is located. At 80 meters high, in a basaltic line, covering the border between Argentina and Brazil, the Cataratas do Iguaçu are 2700 meters long, including both the Brazilian and the Argentine side.
Parque das Aves (Bird Park): located in front of the Parque Nacional de Iguaçu (Iguaçu National Park), on the Brazilian side. Amidst 17 hectares of native vegetation, it is possible to see approximately 900 birds of 180 different species due to the amazing nurseries built in the forest.
Barragem de Itaipu (Itaipu Dam): the second largest dam in the world, after the Three Gorges dam in China, Itaipu was built on the Paraná River, on the border between Brazil and Paraguay. With its 20 turbines for a total capacity of 14,000 MW, Itaipu supplies 17% of electricity consumed in Brazil and 75% of the energy consumed in Paraguay.
