The best time to visit Paraty is the period between September and December, during spring. For literature lovers, winter is a good time to visit the city; during this period the international literary Festival in Paraty (FLIP) takes place.

“Nossa Senhora do Rosario e São Benedito” Church: this church was rebuilt by the brotherhood of our Lady of the Rosary of black of Paraty in 1757. It was in this church that blacks could make their prayers.
