Capital of the state of Alagoas, located in the northeastern region of the country. It is the most populous city in the state, and the average temperature is 24.7 °/75°F C.

Pools of Pajuçara: formed only at low tide, the natural aquariums impress with the clear waters filled with colorful fish and the structure of the rafts-restaurants, which offer lobsters, prawns, fish and typical fruit such as caipirinhas. The ride is only done through rough rafts, which take ten minutes to cross the two kilometers between the beach and the reefs.

Handicraft Market: close to the city center, it hosts 250 stores full of regional items made with straw, wood, ceramics, coconut fiber, leather and clay.

Historical tour through the Center and Jaraguá: to appreciate the varied architectural styles that marked the monuments of Maceió and also to know a little more about the local culture. There are the Cathedral Metropolitana (Metropolitan Cathedral) and the Igreja de Bom Jesus dos Martírios, with eclectic styles, as well as the museums of Pierre Chalita, of sacred art, and Théo Brandão, with popular works.

Paripueira Natural Pools: 33km away from the center of Maceió, less crowded than those of Pajuçara, guaranteeing even clearer waters and more fish.

Lagoa Mundaú: with 600 square kilometers of surface, Lagoa Mundaú represents one of the largest ecosystems of the state, besides important historical, cultural, social and economic aspects. There are nine islands where fishermen and rendeiras (women who make lace) live, vegetation of restinga and mangroves, fish and diverse crustaceans, as well as secluded beaches.
