Community of Porto Seguro, in the extreme south of the State of Bahia. Located at 740 km away from Salvador, the state capital and 69 km away from Porto Seguro. The annual average temperatures are around 24C/75°F.
During the months of september to may. In this region, the sun shines all year round; however, between the months of june to august, there is the possibility of rain.
Beaches: there are 2 km of white sand and crystal clear waters; ideal for walk and calmness lovers.
Ponta de Corumbau (Corumbau Tip): the 13 km of Caraíva is accessible thanks to a beautiful boat trip. Here, the waters invite the visitor to dive.
Caraíva River: the tour can be done in boats or raft, for the most adventurous. The scenery consists of mangroves and the “Monte Pascoal” National Park. The sunset in this little paradise is a “must”.
Pataxós Village: located 6 km away from the beach of Caraíva, within the Monte Pascoal National Park. The path until there can be done while walking, or doing horseback ridding or buggy driving. Worth knowing the community and take the opportunity to do a little shopping of handcrafts produced by the Indians.
Forro de Caraíva: after dinner, the stopover is in one of the nightclub where they dance the “forró” (typical brazilian dance). The forró of Caraíva is one of the most famous of Bahia.
