Second Beach is where the action is, with bars and nightlife. Farther along, Fourth Beach and Encanto are quieter, with natural pools at low tide. The remains of the colonial fort and the lighthouse recall the island’s history.

The Garapuá natural pools, Cairu Island and secluded beaches, in a day at sea.
The natural pools
At low tide, the reefs off Third and Fourth Beach form pools for snorkeling.
