Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Salvador
Salvador
Meet and greet at the airport and private transfer to your pousada, in the heart of the Pelourinho. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 — Flight to Chapada Diamantina
Salvador, Lençóis
Short flight from Salvador to Lençóis, the gateway to Chapada Diamantina. Meet and greet and transfer to the hotel, in the old diamond prospectors’ village.
Included: accommodation with breakfast, Salvador – Lençóis flight, transfers.
Day 3 — Caves and blue waters
Chapada Diamantina
A full-day excursion: the Lapa Doce cave and its rock formations, the crystal-clear waters of Pratinha and Poço Azul, then sunset from the top of Morro do Pai Inácio.
Included: accommodation with breakfast, guided group excursion.
Day 4 — Cachoeira da Fumaça
Chapada Diamantina
Hike from Vale do Capão to the top of Cachoeira da Fumaça, one of the highest waterfalls in Brazil, with a spectacular view over the canyons.

Day 5 — Back to Salvador
Lençóis, Salvador
Drive from the Chapada to Salvador by scheduled bus. Meet and greet and transfer to your pousada in the Pelourinho.
Included: accommodation with breakfast, Lençóis – Salvador bus journey, transfers.
Day 6 — Salvador, then flight to São Luís
Salvador, São Luís
On foot through the UNESCO-listed Pelourinho, with the São Francisco Church, then the Bonfim Church, the Mercado Modelo and the Lacerda Elevator.
In the late afternoon, flight to São Luís and transfer to the hotel.

Day 7 — From São Luís to Barreirinhas
São Luís, Barreirinhas
Drive to Barreirinhas (about 4 hours), the gateway to Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. Check in at the pousada.

Day 8 — The lagoons of the Lençóis Maranhenses

By 4×4 to the foot of the dunes, then a walk across the white sand to Lagoa Bonita and Lagoa Azul, with a swim and sunset over the dunes.

Day 9 — Down the Preguiças River

Boat trip down the Preguiças River: the Pequenos Lençóis at Vassouras, the Mandacaru lighthouse and the Caburé peninsula, between river and ocean.

Day 10 — The Delta of the Americas
Barreirinhas, Parnaíba
Drive to Tutóia, then a full day by boat through the Parnaíba Delta: islands, mangroves, a boat graveyard and swimming, all the way to Parnaíba.

Day 11 — From Parnaíba to Jericoacoara
Parnaíba, Jericoacoara
Drive to Jericoacoara (about 3½ hours), the last few miles by 4×4 over the sand. Check in and watch the sunset from the big dune.

Day 12 — Jericoacoara by buggy
Jericoacoara
Buggy excursion east of Jericoacoara: Pedra Furada, a natural arch carved by the sea, the dunes, and Lagoa do Paraíso with its hammocks set in the water.

Day 13 — Free day in Jericoacoara
Jericoacoara
Beach, lagoons and sunset from the big dune: soak up the village atmosphere.

Day 14 — Departure from Jericoacoara

Transfer to Jericoacoara airport for your return flight or the next leg of your trip. End of our services.

The order of visits may be adjusted depending on flight schedules, weather and local conditions.
The hike to Cachoeira da Fumaça requires a good level of fitness.
The lagoons of the Lençóis Maranhenses are at their fullest from June to September; by the end of the year, many of them dry up.
